Important Consignment Update: Walk-Ins Return Starting September 1st

At The Cedar Chest Consignments, we’re always working to improve the experience for our consignors. After reviewing our current system and hearing feedback from many of you, we’re excited to announce an important change.

Walk-In Consignments Are Back!

Beginning September 1st, consignors will no longer need to book weekly appointments. Instead, we’re switching back to a Walk-In Only schedule:

  • Days & Hours: Monday through Saturday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Limit: Up to 10 items per consignor per visit

  • No appointment required!

This means consignors can stop in during walk-in hours without having to wait for an open appointment slot.

Furniture Consignments Stay by Appointment

Furniture consignments will remain by appointment only to ensure proper scheduling, handling, and space planning.

New “Skip-The-Wait” Appointments

For consignors who want extra flexibility, we’re also offering our new Skip-The-Wait Appointments:

  • Only 3 spots available per day within a 24-hour window

  • A $10 convenience fee per appointment

  • Allows up to 15 items (instead of 10)

  • No waiting in the walk-in line

This option is ideal if you’d like to bring in more items at once or want to skip the walk-in queue.


What This Means for You

  • Walk-in consignors: Stop by Mon–Sat between 11 AM – 2 PM with up to 10 items.

  • Furniture consignors: Continue booking your appointments as usual.

  • Skip-The-Wait consignors: Reserve one of 3 daily paid spots, bring 15 items, and skip the line.

We believe this system will make consigning easier, faster, and more flexible for everyone.
